Carlos Abascal

Carlos Abascal, born in Oaxaca City in 1986, is a self-taught ceramic artist. His favorite medium is clay, inspired by the ancient "Raku" technique. Abascal's work reflects his respect for Mother Earth and the elements essential for life.


Born on March 9, 1950, in Huehuetán, Guerrero, the painter faced challenges, suspending studies after his father's death. At 22, he moved to Acapulco, working as a bricklayer, later selling watercolors. His recognized style depicts flowers and women from his hometown.
